Applicants must be 21 or over due to required responsibilities, flexible & willing to work every weekend, bank holidays and busy seasonal periods. As a Weekend Sales Assistant, you will engage with diverse customers, assist with product merchandising, and ensure the store remains welcoming and organized during weekend hours. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help drive sales, promote products, and create a positive shopping atmosphere for all visitors.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist with product merchandising, ensuring displays are attractive, organized, and up-to-date
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure smooth store operations during busy weekends
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stock areas efficiently
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with courtesy and professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Support the implementation of promotional campaigns and seasonal displays to boost store visibility
Experience
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required, enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key
- Strong communication skills to connect with our valued customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, pricing, and inventory counts accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to keep the sales floor tidy and well-stocked
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy weekend shifts.
