We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The Groundworker will play a crucial role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all groundwork is executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring a clean working environment.
- Excavate trenches and foundations for building structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely, including compactors, diggers, and other equipment as required.
- Assist in the installation of drainage systems, pavements, and other groundwork elements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time while adhering to safety regulations.
- Report any issues or hazards encountered on site to supervisors promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to groundworks.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in work output.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry is advantageous.
- Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
