Ambitious Junior Business & Projects Manager
£30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, plus £3,000 training budget and benefits
Bournemouth office | Full-time | Permanent
At RG, building businesses is in our DNA. We have built several multi-million-pound start-ups, and we’re just getting started.
We are looking for someone who wants to run a business one day and understands that, before they can run one, they need to become exceptionally useful. Your job is simple: get sh*t done.
You will be given business problems, projects and measurable goals, often involving something you have never done before. You will need to understand the problem, work out what matters and keep pushing until the result has actually been delivered.
This isn’t a grad scheme. We don’t do hand-holding. You will have access to senior people, information and resources, but you will not receive an instruction manual or a manager mapping out every step.
What you might do
- Research a new market, investment or business opportunity and recommend what we should do.
- Use data to understand why a business, product or process is underperforming.
- Read and interpret regulations, work out what applies to us and turn it into action.
- Improve a process so it is faster, cheaper or more reliable.
- Launch a new product, system or way of working.
- Spot something that is not working and fix it before anybody asks you to.
Some of this will sound impressive. Some of it will involve checking documents, fixing spreadsheets, chasing someone who promised something last Tuesday or reading 200 pages to find the sentence that matters.
If you think that work is beneath you, this isn’t the role for you. Running a business means being responsible for everything, including the boring things.
We care about results, not how many meetings you held, how polished your project plan looked or how hard you felt you worked.
Project management at RG is different. Within a project, our Project Managers outrank CEOs. You will have unreasonable levels of power. The downside, obviously, is that there is no excuse for not achieving unreasonable results.
You will own the result, including the performance of anyone you need to involve. Their failures do not become your excuse.
We think you’ll need
- An instinct to get sh*t done.
- Unstoppable determination when the obvious route fails.
- The ability to understand complex subjects you knew nothing about last week.
- Commercial judgment, numeracy and confidence with data.
- Excellent written communication.
- Attention to detail without losing sight of the outcome.
- The ability to use AI without outsourcing your judgment to it.
- Ambition. If work is something you merely tolerate between weekends, this probably isn’t the job for you.
What won’t help you
- Project management jargon without the ability to deliver.
- Waiting to be told what to do next.
- Managing our expectations instead of meeting them.
- Attractive updates that conceal the absence of a result.
- Qualifications that say you can do something when the evidence says otherwise.
Where this can lead
Our most successful Project Managers have created tens of millions of pounds’ worth of value. Many have gone on to become full-blown CEOs with significant equity.
Progression is not automatic or based on time served. The more results you produce, the bigger and harder the problems we will trust you to solve.
What we offer
- £3,000 annual training budget.
- Free breakfasts and lunches.
- £100 monthly fitness allowance.
- Contributory pension and unlimited holiday.
- Use of company electric vehicles and RG holiday properties.
- Direct access to successful entrepreneurs and senior decision-makers.
- Responsibility and progression that would take years longer to earn elsewhere.

- What you wanted to achieve and why it mattered.
- Why it was difficult.
