Senior Children’s Palliative Care Nurse – 22.5 hours per week
Starting salary £22,693 per annum (FTE £37,823) with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to £26,975 per annum (FTE £44,959 ).
Join our dynamic team at Keech Hospice as a Senior Children’s Palliative Care Nurse and contribute to providing high quality care to children and their families across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and flexible experienced Children’s Nurse who is keen to expand their skills by joining our friendly symptom management team and supporting patients both in the home and at the hospice.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessing and delivering a holistic family-centred approach, ensuring our patients and their families receive the care they deserve

Supporting families with complex healthcare decisions

Provide high quality palliative and end of life care following symptom management plans

Be an advocate for children’s and families, promoting empowerment

To plan, deliver and evaluate care plans taking in to account the child and family’s needs

Participate on the 24/7 on call rota for children receiving end of life care at home
What we’re looking for:

NMC Registered Children’s Nurse

Demonstrable range of skills in complex medical care

Confident clinical decision-making skills

Excellent communication skills
-
UK driving licence
-
Palliative care experience desirable
