Overview
We are seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our Bodyshop in Maldon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle body components with precision and efficiency. Candidates must be committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Monday- Friday (1 in 3 Saturdays to be paid as overtime) 7am-5pm

Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify body damage and repair needs
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove, replace, or repair vehicle panels and components
- Perform welding, sanding, and painting as required to restore vehicles to manufacturer standards
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving vehicle parts and assemblies safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during repair processes
- Keep detailed records of repairs performed and parts utilised
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
Experience
- Proven experience as an MET Technician or similar role within the automotive industry is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for vehicle repairs
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring safety standards are met at all times
- Knowledge of vehicle body structures, welding techniques, and refinishing processes is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
