Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operator (MSO) to join a well-established waste management operation in Darwen.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plant or machine operator looking for a stable, ongoing position with a reputable employer.
The successful candidate will support the safe and efficient processing and loading of recyclable materials, while maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate mobile plant and machinery for the processing and loading of recyclable materials.
- Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure waste and recyclable materials are loaded correctly and safely.
- Promptly identify and clear any spillages to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Assist with weighbridge administration duties when required.
- Support general site operations as required.
Essential Requirements
- Experience operating mobile plant or machinery.
- A valid Load Shovel, FLT or 360 licence is preferred.
- Candidates holding at least one of these licences will be considered.
- Previous experience within waste management, recycling, quarrying, construction or a similar environment would be advantageous.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
