We're looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable Café Supervisor to join our friendly team at Ben's Yard. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, delivering exceptional customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Working closely with the Café Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the café, leading the team to deliver outstanding food, quality coffee and excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Support and motivate a front of house team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Assist the Café Manager with daily priorities, operational tasks and team leadership.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Assist with opening and closing the café.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service throughout the café.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures are followed in line with current regulations.
- Oversee food preparation and drink quality to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and help minimise waste.
- Support the recruitment, induction and training of new team members.
- Help create a positive, motivated and supportive working environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous supervisory experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Has a strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Is confident, organised and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Has excellent communication, leadership and team management skills.
- Is passionate about great food, quality coffee and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and leading a team.
- Is flexible and available to work weekends and bank holidays.
