Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our caring team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for senior care. As a Senior Carer, you will oversee daily care activities, supervise junior staff, and ensure the delivery of personalized care plans that meet each resident’s needs while fostering a warm and respectful environment. The candidate must be available at weekends.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of high standards of care across all shifts.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and medication management.
- Develop, review, and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Promote effective communication among residents, their families, and team members to ensure transparency and trust.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff to enhance their skills in senior care practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
- Utilize IT systems effectively for record keeping, scheduling, and reporting purposes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate leadership by fostering a positive team culture focused on compassion, respect, and professionalism.
Experience
- Proven experience working within a care home or senior care setting with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of carers.
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and care management.
- Valid driving license preferred but not essential to support resident outings or appointments when necessary.
- Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.

Pay: £14.00-£14.20 per hour
