We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our Dental Team. We are a small mixed practice within Asdel medical centre.

Desirable staff will be qualified Dental Nurses, or happy to work towards a qualification. This role combines assisting the Dentist during treatments, decontamination and sterilisation responsibilities, and front-desk responsibilities.
Maintaining a calm and welcoming experience for all patients.
The successful candidate should be organised, communicative, and capable of providing excellent support to both patients and the dental team. This position offers an engaging environment where you can utilise your nursing and administrative skills to contribute positively to patient wellbeing and practice efficiency.
Pay to be negotiated for the right candidate and depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Providing compassionate patient care before, during, and after dental procedures
- Assisting the dental team with clinical tasks as required, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment
- Managing patient appointments efficiently, including accurate diary management
- Greeting patients warmly upon arrival and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Handling reception duties such as answering phone calls, managing enquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records using our IT system SOE
- Processing payments and cashing up
- Maintaining a clean, organised reception area and clinical environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Supporting administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Clinical experience within a dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Cross infection prevention and good hygiene interests are beneficial
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Good IT literacy to manage appointment systems, electronic records, and other digital tools
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients of all ages
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record keeping and administrative duties.
