The Role
As a Decking Fitter – Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out the installation of decking structures across our holiday parks. You'll lead a team of fitters, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll coordinate with multiple trades, manage resources effectively, and play a key role in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of decking fitters on-site.
- Carry out and oversee decking installations in line with project specifications and company standards.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Coordinate with other trades including carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and plastering teams.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure exceptional workmanship throughout each project.
- Manage materials, equipment, and site resources efficiently.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide training, support, and mentorship to team members.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in decking installation, construction, or related trades.
- Previous experience leading or supervising teams on-site.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialist construction equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Strong commitment to health and safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable Experience
- Background in Holiday Park environment, carpentry, roofing, masonry, fabrication, welding, plumbing, electrical work, or plastering.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multiple trades.
- Relevant construction or trade qualifications.
