We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Clinical Practice Educator to support the learning and development needs of staff on our liver transplant and hepatology ward. The post holder will play a key role in promoting high standards of clinical care by providing education, training, and support to both new and existing members and support workforce.
Working closely with the ward leadership team, senior practice educator and the wider education team, you will ensure that staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients and their families. Furthermore, they will take an active role in the development of the education platform to ensure that nursing staff maintain professional standards and competence.
Facilitate the induction, orientation, and ongoing development of nursing staff, including new starters, students, and support workers.
Support delivery of mandatory and statutory training, clinical skills development, and key educational priorities
Assess and support competency development in line with local and national frameworks.
Assist in identifying learning needs through ward audits, staff feedback, and clinical incidents.
Collaborate with clinical educators, practice development teams, and education leads to align training with organisational priorities and regulatory standards.
Support the implementation of evidence-based practice and service improvement initiatives.
