Duties
- Provide one-to-one support to adults and children with additional support needs, tailored to their individual care and support plans.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care (where required), community access, education, employment, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Encourage independence by supporting individuals to develop life skills, confidence, communication, and social connections.
- Promote choice, dignity, and inclusion while supporting individuals to achieve their personal outcomes and goals.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with individuals, their families, carers, and other professionals.
- Support individuals to access community resources, social opportunities, and healthcare services.
- Respond appropriately to challenging situations using positive behaviour support approaches where required.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records of support provided, progress, incidents, and observations.
- Travel across the Highlands to provide flexible support in homes, schools, community settings, and other environments as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience supporting adults and/or children with additional support needs, disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine passion for supporting others to achieve their potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of settings and individual needs.
- Knowledge of person-centred support, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care, Social Services, or a related field are desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to travel across the Highlands.

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,123.66 per year
