Mucky Pups Day Nursery is looking for a passionate, caring, qualified and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated team.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children, takes pride in their role and is committed to providing the highest standard of care and education.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and be confident supporting children with a wide range of abilities and individual needs, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

- About the Role
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will have day-to-day responsibility for the care, education and development of children within your allocated age group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a safe, caring, stimulating and inclusive environment for children.
- Planning and delivering fun, creative and engaging activities in line with the EYFS.
- Supporting children's learning, development and individual needs.
- Taking on Key Person responsibilities and developing strong relationships with children and their families.
- Observing, assessing and recording children's progress and development.
- Supporting children with SEND and additional needs, adapting activities and approaches to meet individual requirements.
- Recognising children's individual needs and responding appropriately.
- Working closely with parents, carers and other professionals to support children's development.
- Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
- Maintaining consistently high standards of care, education, cleanliness and safety.
- Following safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
- Working positively as part of a team and supporting colleagues across the nursery.
- Contributing to a happy, welcoming and stimulating environment for all children.

- Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Hold a recognised Level 3 childcare qualification or above in line with current government requirements.
- Have at least 1 year's nursery experience.
- Have experience working with children under 5.
- Have a strong understanding of the EYFS.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Have strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be passionate about working with children.
- Be reliable, caring, enthusiastic and professional.
- Be confident working in a busy nursery environment.
- Paediatric First Aid
A Paediatric First Aid qualification is not essential at the time of application.
However, First Aid cover is required within the nursery to meet staffing and ratio requirements. If you do not currently hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification, don't worry — Mucky Pups can provide the necessary training.
We are happy to support the right candidate in obtaining their First Aid qualification as part of their professional development.

Mucky Pups Day Nursery is a well-established nursery located on Garretts Green Lane, Sheldon, close to Cockshut Hill School.
