Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a telehandler to move, lift, and transport materials around the site efficiently and safely. This role is essential in ensuring that operations run smoothly and that materials are readily available for various tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate the telehandler to lift and move materials as required on-site.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and other vehicles.
- Ensure the safe transportation of goods to designated areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material handling tasks effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience operating a telehandler or similar machinery is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic groundworks as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
