Trades247 is growing, and we're looking for a Helpdesk Team Member to help us look after our customers around the clock.
As a 24/7 trades business, our customers need to know someone's there whenever they get in touch – including overnight and at weekends. We're looking for a reliable, customer-focused person to join our helpdesk team, working mostly from home, to cover out-of-hours shifts and keep our service running smoothly when the rest of the world's asleep.
What you'll be doing
- Answering customer calls, emails and job requests during out-of-hours shifts, and logging everything accurately on our Job Logic system.
- Being a calm, friendly, professional point of contact for customers, whatever time they get in touch.
- Escalating anything urgent or complex to the right person, following clear processes.
- Working flexibly across a rota of night, evening and weekend shifts.
- Joining us in the office near Wolverhampton occasionally, for training (including your onboarding) and to help cover regular office hours when needed.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in customer service, a helpdesk or a call centre is a plus, but not essential – full training is provided.
- A confident telephone manner and clear communication skills.
- Someone reliable and self-motivated, who can work well independently from home.
- Comfortable working night, evening and weekend shifts as part of a rota.
- A quiet, suitable home working space with a reliable internet connection.
- Able to travel to our offices near Wolverhampton occasionally for training and office-hours cover.
