Who We Are
Midland Stone Centre manufactures premium, bespoke stone and ceramic worksurfaces for trade customers across the UK. We are looking for a key player, who is hard-working, with a passion for quality manufacturing to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys precision work, problem‑solving, and learning how to operate advanced machinery. You’ll start by learning to operator and maintain our Bavone (edge polishing) machine along with the Chop Saw and Splitter. You will be part of the Special Works division and the main Saw Line.
You don’t need previous stone experience. What matters is attention to detail, a practical mindset, and the willingness to learn the nuances of different materials.
What You’ll Do
- Operate the Bavone machine, Chop Saw and Splitter.
- Mark up pieces for processing, ensuring precision throughout
- Learn the characteristics of different materials and how they must be handled
- Work closely with the Special Works division to deliver complex, high‑value projects
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
What You Bring
- Experience in a bespoke, hands‑on manufacturing environment (e.g. Joinery, metalwork, fabrication, machining)
- Comfortable running machinery and learning new technical processes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
- Physically fit — heavy lifting is mechanised, but the role is active
- A practical, problem‑solving mindset and willingness to “do what’s needed” to make a project succeed

- Kettering NN14 6AA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
