Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable PCV Coach Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating passenger vehicles, including coaches, to transport clients efficiently and comfortably. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and strong communication abilities. The PCV Coach Driver will play a vital part in ensuring a high standard of service and safety for all passengers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as coaches, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service throughout the journey
- Plan routes effectively to meet schedules and optimise travel efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Perform basic mechanical checks and report any issues promptly to the maintenance team
- Load and unload equipment or luggage as required, including handling flatbeds or warehouse items when necessary
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and clients to coordinate schedules and address any concerns during transit
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver, preferably with coach or passenger vehicle operation
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles and basic troubleshooting skills
- Experience with warehouse operations or loading/unloading cargo is advantageous
- Familiarity with flatbed transportation is desirable
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, colleagues, and management effectively
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with appropriate passenger vehicle endorsements
- Prior experience in driving coach or similar large vehicles is highly beneficial
