Registered Veterinary Nurse (Experienced)
We are expanding our team. Our practice has grown rapidly and quickly, and is very well received by our client base. The nurse positions are a core part of our practice, with a focus on ensuring support and delivery of the Wellness Subscriptions.
RVN consulting, Schedule 3 procedures, and advice for clients are all important in ensuring the best care for all pets of the practice. Alongside the consultations will be traditional veterinary nursing duties working with the Veterinary Surgeons.
Remuneration
Basic Pay – £30,000 starting salary with clear banded Pay Grades. The banding allows for clarity on how to gain promotion and earn more!
Salary Top-ups for extra duties - e.g. Clinical Coach - £1,500 wage top-up per student nurse
Profit Share – Yearly bonus depending on how the practice performs.
CPD - £500 pa with 2 days allocated for external training.

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Answering the phone
- Booking appointments
- Registering new clients
- Promoting Wellness Subscriptions
- Scheduling procedures
- Client consultations*
- Day inpatient admissions*
- Inpatient discharges*
- Inpatient nursing
- Surgical preparation
- Anaesthetic monitoring
- Radiographic imaging
- Schedule 3 procedures when under appropriate veterinary supervision*
- Ensuring surgical equipment is cleaned and sterilised appropriately
- Ensuring optimum cleanliness of clinical areas
- Ensuring optimum cleanliness of kennelling facilities
- Managing consumable stock control
- Supporting Client Account Manager team in their daily duties
- Supporting the MRCVS team in their daily duties
- Attending team meetings
- Contributing to practice management meetings both content and agenda items
- Generation of ideas to offer the best care
- Market and competitor research where required
- Support of the business owner and associates in data collection where required
- Maintain relevant and up to date with CPD
- Client account manager training where applicable
- Set personal goals to contribute to business success
- Attend regular coaching sessions
- Attend practice promotional events
*Where appropriate and the RVN is sufficiently capable. If there is a skills gap then the RVN will work with the business to upskill until they are confident to carry out the necessary duty.
