As a Staff Nurse, you will provide safe, effective and compassionate care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional and wellbeing needs are met throughout their stay. You will work closely with patients, families and carers to deliver personalised care that supports recovery, rehabilitation and independence. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. You will maintain high professional standards, promote evidence-based practice and ensure patients receive the highest quality care possible. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality patient-centred nursing care

Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care programmes

Supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation and recovery journey

Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, patients and carers

Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records

Administering medication and treatments in accordance with professional standards

Promoting patient safety, dignity and wellbeing at all times

Contributing to service improvements and quality initiatives

Supporting students, newly qualified staff and colleagues where appropriate

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good IT skills and confidence using clinical systems

Previous experience within a ward, community hospital, rehabilitation or intermediate care setting

Experience supporting patients with complex health needs

Mentorship or practice assessor qualification
