Sort clothes/linen and commence washing. Dry clothes – remove lint from filter after every cycle.( in good weather hang linen on the line)Folding and ironing. Put clothes on rail and sort into boxes.Tidy linen cupboards x 3 on every shift, ensure linen is not stacked to high and not on the floor. Put duverts and pillows in plastic covers provided.Take clothes to resident’s rooms and put away.Tidy 3-4 resident’s wardrobes and drawers on a shift. Ensure they have the correct clothes and remove any spare hangers.Ensure bin and clinical waste bins are emptied.Ensure sink and sluice area are cleaned and tidy.Ensure floor is swept and washed.
Also to complete Kitchen Helper Duties which involve helping the Chef. Cleaning duties and following the cleaning schedule, washing pots and using the dish washer.
