Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of morning service. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff during morning service, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Oversee food production processes, including ingredient preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to maintain adequate supplies for breakfast service
- Train and mentor junior kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or hospitality environment, preferably within a restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food handling and kitchen operations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure during busy periods
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous but not essential
