Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Many Tears Animal Rescue is looking for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our on-site veterinary team.
This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on veterinary nursing with meaningful animal welfare work, supporting dogs through treatment, recovery, rehabilitation, and preparation for their future homes.
Working alongside our veterinary team, you will be involved in a varied caseload that extends beyond routine first-opinion practice. From surgical support and anaesthesia monitoring to clinical care, and welfare focused treatment plans; no two days are quite the same.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a practical, supportive team and who takes pride in delivering high standards of patient care while helping to maintain an organised and effective clinical environment.
The Role
Based within our busy on-site veterinary surgery, you will be involved in:
- Day-to-day veterinary nursing duties
- Supporting surgical procedures and anaesthesia monitoring
- Assisting with dentals (where trained)
- Inpatient care and patient monitoring
- Medication preparation and administration
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
- Supporting clinical standards, protocols, and compliance processes
- Assisting with stock control and organisation of the surgery
- Working alongside the Practice Manager and veterinary team to support the smooth running of the veterinary function
- Contributing to the continual improvement of clinical systems and standards
What We're Looking For
Essential
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Excellent clinical nursing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT and record keeping skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Driving licence and own transport
Desirable
- Dental nursing experience
- Previous experience within a rescue, charity or referral environment
- Experience supporting clinical governance, compliance, or quality improvement activities
