Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Previous experience in care settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management
- Support individuals in accordance with personalised care plans, ensuring their needs and preferences are met
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with light domestic tasks to promote independence and well-being
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required, ensuring safe transportation
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting clients with transportation needs
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in all duties
