About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised Office Administrator to support the smooth running of our Dorchester office. This is a temporary part‑time position (25 hours per week). The ideal candidate will be confident handling reception duties, admin tasks, and general office support.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering calls and taking messages
- Handling client and internal enquiries
- Welcoming clients and offering refreshments
- Preparing tea/coffee for the director when required
- Liaising with suppliers and scanning documents to the CRM
- Ordering and maintaining office and stationery supplies
- Managing office and kitchen purchases
- Coordinating office maintenance
- Handling post, couriers, and document scanning
- Managing office phone systems and call transfers
- Organising and maintaining files
- Sending monthly Expense Guides to new clients
- Supporting Health & Safety and Fire Safety tasks
- General admin and ad‑hoc duties as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an administrative or reception role
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to learn new systems (CRM experience beneficial)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Friendly, approachable, and client‑focused
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
