1. To receive all deliveries, checked off and stored in correct area, reporting any discrepancies to the Head Chef in good time.
2. To carry out the cleaning of floors and walls working closely under the guidance of the Chefs and in conjunction with pre set Cleaning Schedule.
3. To empty both the waste bins and food waste bin, taking out to Bin area.
4. To scrape food waste from dirty crockery and pots and pans, washing & cleaning with the aid of industrial dishwasher.
5. To clean, wash and dry cutlery and glassware by hand or by machine.
6. To load the dishwasher with crockery and kitchen equipment as appropriate.
7. To ensure that all cutlery, crockery and glassware is clean and suitable for use.
8. To wash floors and walls as determined by the cleaning schedule.
9. To assist the Chefs in the preparation and planning of all food stuffs
10. To assist in the Deep cleaning of the kitchen, deck scrubbing the floors, under the guidance of the Chefs.
11. To assist in the delivery of the Food by way of trolley to the various households.
12. To ensure all & any training is kept up to date, by way of face to face training or indeed by way of HIPPO training platform.
13. To act in accordance with COSHH, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
14. On occasion to prepare light refreshments for residents and visitors under the guidance of Chefs.
15. To carry out other duties as well, and from time to time, be directed.
16. To carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard to the Health and Safety of self, colleagues, residents and visitors to the Home.
17. To support the Home’s no smoking policy in the interests of Health & Safety and ensure smoking is not allowed on site.
18. To assist the Chefs in the delivery of any on-site external functions, such as Garden Party, outdoor BBQ,s.
19. To at all times be presentable in appearance, wearing uniforms provided.
20. To be on-time/ punctual in keeping to the Hours set out by the Head Chef, on the Kitchen Rota.
21. To be willing to learn New hands-on Food orientated tasks in assisting the Chefs with Preparation of food stuffs.
