Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Jewellery Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for merchandising, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a luxurious environment, engaging with clients and showcasing our exquisite jewellery collections. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English is highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, guiding customers through our product range, and ensuring their shopping experience is memorable and satisfying.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide expert advice on jewellery pieces
- Assist clients in selecting items that suit their preferences and needs, demonstrating excellent upselling techniques
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective organisation and visual merchandising skills
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Offer personalised styling suggestions and educate customers on jewellery care and maintenance
- Manage stock levels by organising inventory and replenishing displays as necessary
- Handle customer enquiries via phone with professionalism, maintaining high standards of phone etiquette
- Develop strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and foster customer loyalty
- Keep abreast of new products, trends, and promotional campaigns to maximise sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, ideally within jewellery or luxury goods sectors
- Multilingual abilities; fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in Spanish considered an advantage
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clear and courteous interaction
- Basic maths skills for processing transactions accurately and managing stock counts
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully while prioritising customer satisfaction
- Organised with a keen eye for visual presentation and merchandising standards
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and independence
