We are seeking a technical design draughtsperson to join our fast growing team. Working closely with the joinery workshop to ensure manufacture is provided to our clients on time and on budget.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge in joinery/ design, preferably working with furniture manufacturers or hands on joinery experience. Training will be provided to ensure company processes are maintained. Training will be provided via the design lead and director.
Health and Safety
· Understand the Company Health and Safety Policy and ensure it is readily available and understood by subcontractors that may work on detail design drawings.
· Maintain a close liaison with other designers and ensure they comply with their duties and responsibilities under The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) regarding design responsibilities and ensuring any highlighted residual design risks are effectively communicated to those involved in the project.
· Assess or ensure the assessment of specific risks associated with company sites. Establish the potential hazards at each stage, indicate the necessary control procedures to be adopted and provide written instructions. Where appropriate, obtain risk assessments including hazardous substances and work processes that present risk to health from sub-contractors and ensure that they comply with our established standards of work.
Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
