As Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the exceptional hospitality Balfour Winery is known for, supporting daily operations across tours, dining, events, and guest services. This position blends hands‑on leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring every visitor experiences the award‑winning quality and warmth that define England’s “best vineyard to visit.”
We're looking for our assistant managers to:
- Have some previous experience in supervising teams
- Lead by example
- Be passionate about food & drink
- Drive standards and knowledge to create exceptional guest experiences
- Create sales opportunities whenever they can
In this role we need someone with:
- Previous experience at supervisory level in a premium hospitality business
- Excellent food & drink knowledge
- Good understanding of the importance of financial targets and how we can achieve them
- Competence and organisation in handling bedroom and function enquiries and bookingS
- Own transport to get to and from work
