Overview
We’re a growing company looking for a reliable, enthusiastic driver / labourer to join our existing team.
This role includes driving duties along with some yard work and labouring on the shop floor. This will be a varied role from paint spraying to delivering parts to sites across the country, full training will be given along with an opportunity to develop the role further.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including delivery vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Support warehouse activities such as stock organisation, inventory management, and general upkeep.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues for prompt repair.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving license, class 1 or 2 HGV licence would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Willingness to assist with occasional yard duties
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
- Physically fit with the stamina to handle manual tasks throughout the shift.
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
