Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Engine Builder to join our growing team. This role is focused on rebuilding and assembling Ford EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines to the highest standards.
Proven, hands-on experience with EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines is essential. This is not a trainee position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong background in diagnosing, rebuilding, and assembling these engines with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Complete strip-down, inspection, and diagnosis of EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines.
- Measure and assess engine components to determine suitability for reuse or replacement.
- Rebuild engines to manufacturer specifications using the correct procedures and torque settings.
- Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
- Identify and resolve common faults associated with EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
- Complete relevant job documentation accurately.
Experience
- Prior experience in engine assembly or mechanical work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Familiarity with power tools used in engine assembly or repair tasks
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and engine components
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals is advantageous
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience rebuilding Ford EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications and workshop procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a strong commitment to safety standards.
