The Role
As a Kitchen Porter at Champneys Mottram Hall, you’ll play an essential part in keeping our kitchen and Food & Beverage teams running smoothly. By maintaining clean, organised, and well-prepared kitchen areas, you’ll help ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience for every guest.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a supportive team, and understands that high standards behind the scenes are just as important as those front of house.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning all kitchen areas, staff canteens, and kitchen corridors on a daily basis
- Washing kitchen equipment for the chefs, along with crockery and cutlery for restaurant service
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised during service, ensuring walkways are clear and floors remain dry
- Following cleaning schedules carefully and signing off daily to confirm tasks have been completed
- Deep cleaning kitchen equipment as required
- Keeping store rooms clean and tidy, with floors swept and mopped
- Storing food deliveries correctly, rotating stock to ensure freshness
- Communicating effectively with chefs and wider resort teams
- Keeping delivery and yard areas clean and well organised
- Cleaning food waste, general waste, and recycling bins weekly as instructed
- Supporting stocktakes when required
- Assisting with non-food deliveries and distributing items to the appropriate departments
