Job Overview
We are currently looking for a proactive and organised Procurement Assistant / Warehouse Operative to join our growing team at Carbon3.
This hybrid role will primarily focus on supporting our procurement function, assisting with supplier management, purchasing processes, and material planning, while also providing support to warehouse operations during non-office days.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are sourced efficiently, stock levels are maintained, and engineers and project teams receive the equipment and materials required to deliver projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Support
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
- Raise and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with Contracts Managers, Engineers, and internal teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Support supplier communication and maintain good working relationships.
- Carry out weekly stock checks and identify potential shortages before they impact projects.
- Update material trackers, stock records, and procurement forecasts.
- Assist with monitoring lead times and ensuring materials are delivered within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Warehouse Operations
- Support the organisation and smooth running of the warehouse.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining warehouse location areas.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and support updates to warehouse plans.
- Assist with goods in/goods out processes, ensuring deliveries match purchase orders.
- Support the preparation and picking of materials for engineers and site teams.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and collections.
- Support stock control processes, including returns and allocation of materials.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with site deliveries and collections using company vehicles when required.
- Provide support and cover to other team members as required.
Health & Safety
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and policies.
- Maintain safe working practices within both the warehouse and office environment.
- Report any issues, hazards, or concerns promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- IT literate and confident using computer systems.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, engineers, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, stock control, or warehouse operations.
- Forklift Counterbalance Licence (desirable but not essential).
- Experience using stock management or procurement systems.
