As a Care Warden working across our clients’ supported housing facilities, you will play a vital role in protecting the safety, security, and wellbeing of residents, staff, and visitors.
The role combines proactive surveillance, resident-focused support, and a range of operational security duties.

Hours and Availability
We have a range of working hours available, from 10 to 36 hours per week.

- Night shifts
- Weekend day shifts
- Weekend night shifts
Key Responsibilities
The role of Care Warden is varied, and you will be required to undertake a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring CCTV systems to prevent and identify unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity.
- Completing regular patrols of the premises and checking for security breaches, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Accurately completing all required documentation, including daily occurrence logs, incident reports, welfare records, and first-aid documentation.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair requirements that may affect the safety, security, or functionality of the site.
- Liaising professionally with emergency services, local authorities, clients, and other relevant agencies.
- Completing identity checks and managing entry and exit points to ensure that only authorised individuals are permitted access.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Responding calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and challenging situations.
- Ensuring that the security office and surrounding areas remain clean, tidy, organised, and free from hazards.

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
- Have access to a reliable vehicle that you can use for the purpose of travelling to and from work.
- Be able to work evenings, night shifts, and weekend day and night shifts.
- Be proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and accurately with residents, clients, colleagues, emergency services, and other agencies.
- Be able to complete reports, logs, handovers, and other operational documentation to the required standard.
- Demonstrate excellent punctuality, reliability, and timekeeping.
- Remain calm, professional, and composed when dealing with incidents or challenging situations.
- Show an understanding, compassionate, and respectful approach when working with residents, including individuals who may have complex or additional needs..
Safeguarding and Background Checks
To protect the individuals we support, successful applicants will be required to complete the following checks:
Five-Year Employment History Check:
You must provide a complete employment history covering the previous five years and account for any gaps in employment.
Employment References:
We will contact relevant previous employers from within the last five years to verify your employment history and suitability.
Additional background, right-to-work, identity, and licensing checks may also be completed as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.
Experience and Training
Previous security experience is not essential, as full and comprehensive training will be provided.
