Location – Fixed at either Newport Civic Centre or Cardiff Ely.
Barnardo's is leading the delivery of the UK's first trial of Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Newport & Cardiff.
The therapy supports young people aged 11–17 who are facing complex challenges, including substance misuse, risk of offending, and mental health difficulties.
Supporting our team of therapists, our Intake & Engagement workers will assess referrals, welcome new families into the trial and work alongside our evaluation partners (University of Kent and Teesside) to complete baseline questionnaires with young people to measure their needs and use of alcohol and substances.

The job is advertised as 21 hours and based in Newport / Cardiff. A similar post is advertised in Bristol and the roles could be combined as a full time (37 hour) post.
