Safestay York Micklegate are looking for a new Hostel All rounder.
We are a busy city centre hostel looking for a new team members to join our small, friendly team. Covering all departments it is true when we say no 2 days will be the same
As an All rounder you will be trained in all departments and provide holiday cover when necessary as well as set shifts per week. The ideal candidate will hopefully train to cover mamangers days off and progress to Team leader
40 hours contract, so must be flexible weekend availability a must
As an All- Rounder your duties could include:
Reception: 7am-3pm /3pm-11pm
Checking guests in and out
Dealing with reservations by email and phone.
Dealing with guest queries and requests
Admin tasks
Cleaning tasks
Night Porter: 11pm - 7am
Checking in late arrivals
Admin tasks
Dealing with guest queries and complaints
Daily cleaning tasks
Breakfast set up
Housekeeping: 10am - 4pm
Cleaning rooms
Changing bunk beds and private rooms
Cleaning common areas
Cleaning bathrooms
Food & beverage: Approx. 4pm - 10pm / 8am - 12pm
Cooking dinners, breakfast buffet & making packed lunches.
Work alongside GM:
Learn ordering, reports and train to become team leader covering gm days off
Future opportunities to work in other Safestay Hostels.
Due to serving alcohol applicants must be 18 years or older.
Immediate start, experience preferred but not essential as all training will be provided!
