Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced painter and decorator to join our team delivering high-quality works relating to new fit-out works within Ayrshire.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints and decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other tools with precision and care. Mainly to new plasterboard, mdf and timber.
- Interpret project specifications and work from drawings or instructions to achieve desired results.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate schedules and clarify project requirements.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with construction regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as needed.
Requirements - Essential
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating.
- Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions and liaise with team members effectively.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and decorative finishes.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, climb ladders and perform manual tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and the importance of adhering to health regulations.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating
- Must hold a valid CSCS card (blue or above)

Pay: From £14.50 per hour
