Highlander are looking to recruit a security shredding van driver for up to 3.5 ton vans . The successful candidate will be responsible for securely collecting confidential waste paper from a range of businesses, and transporting this to the Highlander depot in East Kilbride. Given the nature of the material being collected their is a high emphasis on the security aspect of the job.
We cover the whole of Scotland, and Northern England so the successful candidate would be expected to carry out long-distance driving when required, therefore a sound geographic knowledge would be advantageous.
It is also essential that you are physically fit as this role can involve lifting heavy bags/boxes of paper from various locations and is therefore physically demanding.
Key requirements and skills:
- Clean driving licence
- The ability to drive up to 7.5 ton or Class 2 licence would be extremely advantageous but is not essential
- Flexible to work between the hours of 5am and 7pm Monday - Friday, with minimum contracted hours of 40 hours. Core shift of 7am - 4pm but rota for 5am starts.
- Good time-keeping
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Aged 25 or over (fleet insurance)
In this role you will be the face of the company, liaising directly with customers, therefore, you must be well presented and have excellent communication skills.
