Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of hospitality, from taking orders to assisting with food preparation, all while maintaining high standards of food safety and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are met.
- Provide information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in their choices.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for resolution and satisfaction.
- Perform basic math calculations for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
- Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience is an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods effectively.
- Ability to provide outstanding guest services with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Experience in serving or upselling food and beverages is beneficial.
