Job Title: Lodge Housekeeper
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Hours: 6 - 18 hours per week
Staff Transport options available from Workington and Kendal areas.
Candidates must be aged 18 at the start of employment.
This role is based on-site at Langdale Hotel and Spa, Ambleside, LA22 9JD.
Role Summary
Are you ready to make a difference in our guests' experiences by ensuring their surroundings are clean, comfortable, and inviting? We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Lodge Housekeeper to join our team. You'll play an important role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our lodges, creating a welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and tidy assigned lodges thoroughly, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas
Carry out dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a pristine environment
Change linens and make beds with care and attention to detail
Replenish amenities such as toiletries and towels for guest comfort
Empty trash and recycling bins promptly and efficiently
Report maintenance issues or damages to management for quick resolution
Follow all health and safety guidelines to protect guests and staff
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth lodge turnover and guest satisfaction
Our Ideal Candidate
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for maintaining high cleanliness standards
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills for working with team members and management
Physical stamina and ability to lift or move heavy items when required
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings to meet business needs
