Acris provides services from warehousing & logistics to waste management & commercial products.
We require a driver who has previous experience driving long wheelbase commercial vehicles long distance.
This is a physically demanding role and applicants will be required to lift heavy and irregular sized objects - loading and unloading vehicles with early starts Mon-Fri.
Training, Van, Insurance, fuel and Uniform provided.
Daily tasks include:
- Collecting surplus stock both loose and palletised including electronics, food stuffs, toys etc.
- Following assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely collections
- Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
- Liaising with both customers and office based colleagues
Key Qualities:
- Be able to work to deadlines and have the ability to think on your feet
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to navigate using GPS or maps to locate addresses and optimize delivery routes
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting, as needed
- Safe, responsible driving habits
- Able to start early
- Navigate effectively around busy city centres
*Please note you may be required to stay overnight on certain long distance routes (accomodation paid for).
*Please also note this is not multi-drop driving - you will typically have 6-8 destinations per day.
Valid Drivers License required.
