Job Overview
We're a well-established barbershop in East London, known for quality cuts and a strong customer following. We're looking for an experienced Barbershop Manager who also works as a barber to run day-to-day operations at our Docklands (E16) location. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities
Work as a barber on the floor (cuts, fades, beard trims, waxing, hot towel shaves — hair colouring and threading a plus) alongside managing the shop
Oversee daily shop operations and staff rota
Manage bookings and walk-in flow
Handle stock ordering and supplier relationships
Maintain high standards of customer service and shop presentation
Support recruitment and onboarding of barbers
Handle basic cash/till reconciliation and reporting to owner
Resolve customer issues and maintain shop reputation (reviews, complaints)
Requirements
Qualified, experienced barber skilled in cutting, waxing, and hot towel shaves (hair colouring and threading experience a bonus, not required)
Previous experience managing a barbershop, salon, or similar environment
Strong organisational and people-management skills
Comfortable with booking software
Reliable, hands-on, able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday required)
Hours: Full-time or part-time considered, flexible days, weekends required (Saturday and Sunday)
Pay: Competitive weekly salary, based on experience (commission structure available for client bookings)
Pay: £600.00-£800.00 per week
