We are looking for experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistants to join our day team, supporting residents within our residential and residential dementia care home.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who is confident in taking responsibility on shift, supporting and guiding colleagues, and helping us maintain high standards of care for our residents.
The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care, ensuring dignity, choice and consent
- Supporting residents with personal care while promoting independence
- Administering, ordering and storing medication in accordance with policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the review of care plans
- Supporting residents' wellbeing, including palliative and end-of-life care where required
- Leading and supporting care staff during the shift
- Supervising staff in the absence of the Manager or Deputy
- Liaising with families and healthcare professionals as required
- Helping to ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and infection prevention are maintained throughout the home
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care – essential
- Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant within a care home
- A good understanding of medication administration and care planning
- Confidence in leading and supporting a team
- Compassionate, reliable and able to communicate effectively
- DBS on the Update Service preferred to support a quicker start
Pay: £14.06 per hour
