Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise in mechanical systems, use of hand and power tools, and ability to interpret schematics will be essential in delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs, replacements, and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repair tasks efficiently and accurately
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment repair, welding, and maintenance procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and interpreting wiring diagrams as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering advice on vehicle care when appropriate
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on various types of vehicles or machinery
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions accurately
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools effectively
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working in physically demanding environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail during diagnostics and repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Prior experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and safety standards is highly desirable
