Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Mobile Data Shredder & ITAD Operative to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role involving the secure collection, handling, processing and destruction of IT assets and data-bearing media at customer sites and Secure ITAD facilities.
The successful applicant will operate mobile data shredding equipment, drive company vehicles, support ITAD projects and ensure all work is carried out securely, professionally and in line with company procedures.
A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive and operate Secure ITAD mobile data shredding vehicles.
· Carry out on-site data destruction services at customer premises.
· Load, unload, handle and process IT equipment and data-bearing media.
· Support data centre and office decommissioning projects.
· Assist with the secure collection and transportation of IT assets.
· Follow chain-of-custody procedures and ensure accurate asset tracking.
· Complete job sheets, collection notes, destruction records and other required paperwork.
· Work professionally on customer sites, always representing Secure ITAD.
· Ensure shredding equipment and vehicles are used safely and correctly.
· Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks.
· Follow company health and safety, security, compliance and environmental procedures.
· Assist with warehouse, processing and general ITAD duties when required.
Essential Requirements
· Valid **HGV Class 2 driving licence**.
· Driver CPC qualification.
· Digital tachograph card.
· Previous experience driving commercial vehicles.
· Reliable, punctual and professional.
· Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to follow security procedures and complete paperwork accurately.
· Good communication and customer-facing skills.
· Willingness to travel and work at different customer locations.
· Flexible approach to working hours when required.
Desirable Experience
· Previous experience in ITAD, recycling, logistics, waste management, data destruction or secure transport.
· Experience operating shredding, plant, machinery or mobile processing equipment.
· Forklift licence.
· Knowledge of data security, chain of custody or asset tracking processes.
· Experience working on data centre or office clearance projects.
