Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying powder coating finishes to our superior metal gates and railings, ensuring high-quality surface finishes that meet our standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools, and experience working in a warehouse or fabrication environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing products through precise coating techniques and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure proper adhesion of powder coatings
- Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently, including spray guns and curing ovens
- Apply powder coatings evenly across components using manual or automated systems
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and defect-free surfaces
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with assembly or fabrication tasks as needed to support production goals
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments during the coating process
- Support warehouse activities such as inventory management of coating supplies and materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety guidelines throughout all procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience with mechanical systems, hand tools, and power tools in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Knowledge of fabrication processes for powder coating
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating coating quantities
- Familiarity with assembly processes and use of hand tools in fabrication environments
- Previous warehouse experience preferred for inventory handling and material management
- Ability to operate welding equipment or support welding tasks is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
