ART TUTOR. Part-time, Freelance Contract
Opportunity for an experienced and friendly Art Tutor for The Seasons Art Class Ipswich & Woodbridge, part-time freelance contract, on-going basis.

We are looking for a wonderful Art Tutor on a Freelance basis one day per week on Wednesdays, in person, for our 14-week courses in Waldringfield, nr Woodbridge. We are a vibrant and supportive environment fostering creativity and inclusivity among students of all skill levels. We are an established branch and run 3 seasons per year: January, April and September broadly in line with main school terms, which we run on an on-going basis. We are part of The Seasons Art Class UK Ltd family, established for over 16 years. The role will be starting on 9th September 2026 for our Autumn course.
Our courses are suitable for adult students who are at beginner and improver level. The course consists of four modules: Drawing, Oil pastels, Watercolours and Acrylics.
You must have good experience of teaching or tutoring adult students for this role. A friendly demeanour and ability to confidently demonstrate good artwork in pencil, oil pastels, watercolours and acrylic paint is essential.
The Art Tutor will be required to demonstrate and teach art classes to various skill levels, lesson plans are provided along with a curriculum for each term. You will give some insight and bring samples and ideas of your own to complement the task. You should have an art background, educated to degree level and have a worked in a related position before. You should have some samples of your work ready to show if interviewed. It is very important that you are friendly and approachable and able to work with all skill levels and can give individualised feedback and support to students. Classes consist of around 20 students per class. You will need to be available 8:30 – 5pm each week.
Additional responsibilities include helping and preparing the venue each week with tables and chairs and art equipment, fostering a creative and inclusive environment for all students. You will be supported by the Branch Owner also helps to teach and manages the students each week.

Job Requirements:
About you:
· You’ve worked in similar roles before and have strong experience in teaching or tutoring art to adult students.
· BA in Fine Arts or related field
· You are capable of producing good artwork in pencil, pastel, watercolour and acrylic paint and feel comfortable demonstrating your skills to groups of around 20 learners.
· You are friendly and approachable and have great communication skills.
· Patience and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
· Committed team player.
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
About the job:
· Deliver two 3 hour weekly art lessons, one in the morning and one in the afternoon to our lovely adult students, with easy to follow lesson plans and curriculums.
· You’ll be responsible for demonstrating step by step and provide support and individualised feedback to our lovely adult learners on how to create beautiful artwork using various mediums and techniques.
· Your role is to teach, inspire, and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
· Assist the Branch Owner to set up, and packing away, of the room to create a supportive and welcoming environment for our students.
· Be a positive ambassador of The Seasons Art Class.
