Working alongside the Hotel Team and DoF to ensure a smooth running and day-to-day operation of the Finance Office.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
· To assist in the administration of all financial aspects of the finance and accounting function for the Hotel, with the particular focus on Income Audit, General Cashiering and/or Accounts Receivable.
· To ensure that all company Policies and Procedures are observed, financial reports are submitted accurately and on time in compliance with statutory requirements, enforcing both internal controls and external audit requirements.
· Assisting the Finance Team with responsibility for the correct workings of the Hotels banking and cash management, Allocations, Revenue Control/Audit and overview of Petty Cash/float systems
· Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
· Responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR debt chase and issue invoice)
· Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
· Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
· Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports from PMS and POS.
· Supporting in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
· Assist with other accounting projects as required by GM and Regional FD
Person Specification
· High level of proficiency in IT with experience of using MS Office and the internet in a work environment.
· SUN Infor Q&A, PMS (Rezlynx)
· Strong organisational skills with a systematic approach to completing tasks.
· Excellent communication skills with a friendly and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
· Previous accounting experience
Pay: £27,500.00-£28,500.00 per year
