We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to become one of the driving forces behind the continued growth of Maxine Lester Lettings & Property Management.
This is a proactive, target-driven role. You won't be waiting for leads to land in your lap, you'll be creating opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, referrals and following up historic enquiries.
Working alongside our Senior Lettings Valuer, your role is to generate high-quality, fully qualified appointments, not simply fill a diary. Every appointment should have a genuine opportunity to convert into new business.
You'll also play a key role in growing our existing landlord portfolio by identifying opportunities to convert Tenant Find landlords onto our Fully Managed service.

Generate quality opportunities that convert into instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new landlord opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, referrals and follow-up activity.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective landlords.
- Carry out high-quality Discovery Calls to understand landlord needs and motivations.
- Book fully qualified valuation appointments for the Senior Lettings Valuer.
- Convert Tenant Find landlords onto our Fully Managed service.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure no opportunity is missed.
- Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Represent the business professionally at networking events, seminars and marketing initiatives.
Performance Expectations

Experience & Skills
Essential
- Proven business development or sales experience.
- Confident cold caller with excellent communication skills.
- Strong objection handling and negotiation ability.
- Commercially aware and target driven.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised and self-motivated.
- CRM experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Residential lettings or estate agency experience.
- Local market knowledge.
- ARLA qualification.
The Rewards

The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of £30,000, together with an uncapped commission and bonus structure, offering realistic On-Target Earnings of £45,000+.
