Overview
A dedicated and detail-oriented Guest Readiness, Cleaning and Laundry Operative Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and a high and consistent standard of contents within our lodges, ensuring that spaces are welcoming and hygienic and be responsible for ensuring that all linen and towels are cleaned, folded, and prepared in a timely manner.
Flexible to accept shifts on any day of the week and weekends.
This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Laundry
- Operate washing machines, dryers and ironing mangle efficiently to clean linens.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before washing and report any issues to management.
- Prepare linen bags for Lodge cleaners
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report low stock levels as needed.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items.
Cleaning Operative
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas of our lodges and staff facilities and common areas.
- Dust, sanitize, and polish surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies.
- Report any maintenance / safety issues to management promptly.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols for various tasks.
Guest Readiness
- Open / close lodges for arriving and vacating guests.
- Where others have cleaned lodges complete a readiness review to ensure all kitchen, bathroom and bedroom contents meet the guest booking requirements and there are no "red flags" that could impact the guest’s experience.
- Prepare and set up guest hampers and special orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning and guest readiness services is required.
- Previous experience in a laundry setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment.
