A thriving secondary academy in the NG18 area of Mansfield is looking to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to join its Alternative Provision team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people who benefit from a more personalised approach to learning and help them rebuild confidence, overcome barriers and achieve success.
Whether you're interested in becoming a Teacher, Educational Psychologist, Youth Worker, Social Worker or Behaviour Mentor, this role will provide invaluable experience.
Your Role
Working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, you will:
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
- Help pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs engage positively in education.
- Deliver targeted interventions to improve confidence, attendance and learning.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
- Work closely with teaching staff to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

- Or any related degree.
Previous experience working with children or young people through mentoring, tutoring, coaching, youth work, care work or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
